woodthrushbirdThrush Is a member of the (Turdidae) family, found in most parts of the world, and are known for their beautiful song.

The majority are modestly colored, in the young and old, they have spotted underparts, a few have bright plumage : which include the Ruddy breasted Robin, being the largest of the thrushes, the bluebird, bright blue with a red breast.

Other North American thrushes include , the wood, olive backed, and gray-cheeked thrushes , the solitaire , and the veery or Wilson's thrush. The finest singing is believed to be the hermit thrush, which is a shy forest dweller.In the old world the black bird , the nightingale , the missel thrush , the stonechat , and the wheatear are thrushes .
