Starling From the old world related to the mynah . Starlings were brought to New York in 1890; and has become common in the east .

Sometimes they group together in such numbers that they become a nuisance, they destroy insects but at the same time drive away smaller desirable birds. The starling has a iridescent black plumage with a long bill which is yellow in spring and summer. They can mimic other birds songs and sounds.
