Caracal , or Persian Lynxes Mammal of the cat family, native to Asia and Africa. By some it is considered a link between the true cats and the true lynxes.

Its total length is about three and a quarter feet. It preys on small deer, hares , birds, and other animals; in some regions it is trained to catch game for man.
